We recognise that many guests come to us looking for privacy and an escape from everyday life. Surrounded by the countryside and with only one apartment available, you can relax, undisturbed in your own tranquil bubble.
A simple breakfast is supplied for you to enjoy in the privacy of The Pheasantry. A freshly baked granary loaf, butter, marmalade, jam, and fresh free-range organic eggs from the farm’s blacktail hens.
The Pheasantry also offers a private outdoor space with a patio, table & chairs, Webber Kettle BBQ and sun loungers. Hidden away, a double golf net is available for guests to enjoy as you unwind with stunning scenic views across the river valley.
If you want to recharge, The Pheasantry offers you the perfect place for a restful night’s sleep and an ideal sanctuary to escape it all.

The air-conditioned apartment is equipped with everything to make your stay with us memorable. Relish the warmth of the underfloor heating, wallow in the elegant free-standing bath, or savour the picture-perfect views from the generously sized dressing table.
The Pheasantry also boasts a selection of contemporary technology to enhance your stay. You’ll find three smart televisions, including an interchangeable mirror TV in the bathroom and a hidden television at the end of your bed. You don’t even need to leave the comfort of your sofa as you can control the underfloor heating, blinds and lights from the iPad provided.

NO SURPRISES
We don’t want anything to spoil your time with us, and we don’t want you to experience any unexpected surprises. With this in mind, a few points to note during your stay.
- While we are canine lovers, pets are unfortunately not allowed due to the location, livestock, and luxury furnishings at the Pheasantry.
- The Pheasantry is set in the eaves. Whilst this adds character, there is restricted height on one side of the king-size bed, which may only be a problem for tall guests using that side of the bed.
- The only access to your apartment is via an external staircase. Sadly, this means no disabled or mobility issue access to the property.
THE LOCAL AREA
Church Manor Farm is situated in the beautiful village of Wicklewood, only 12 miles by car from the city of Norwich and one of the few areas in Norfolk to enjoy gently rolling hills and valleys.
The location is a haven for wildlife, with a wonderful variety of birds and animals choosing the location for their home. To name a few, keen nature lovers regularly spot ducks, owls, herons, deer, and hares.
Wicklewood offers pretty walks, an historic church, an interesting tower windmill and a local pub. Only a few miles away, the market town of Wymondham provides a varied selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. You’ll also find Wymondham Abbey, an original Benedictine Priory founded in 1107 which received Abbey status in 1448. It now boasts one of the largest gilded altar screens by Sir Ninian Comper.
When replenishing your supplies, you’ll find a Waitrose, Morrisons and 7-day Co-op local store, all within 3 miles. And if an invigorating massage or rejuvenating facial is on your radar, Park Farm and Barnham Broom both offer a tempting menu of spa treatments. In addition, Norfolk boasts a range of desirable golf courses for those looking for a round or two of golf, many within easy reach of Church Manor Farm.
HOW TO FIND US
Whilst The Pheasantry is secluded and private, you aren’t far away from a range of excellent transport links. A stone’s throw from the A11, you can reach Norwich city centre in 20 minutes, the North Norfolk Coast in under an hour and the M25 in just over an hour and a half. If travelling to the area by train, Wymondham provides direct rail services to Cambridge, and Norwich has fast direct rail links to London. The nearest airport is Stansted, just over an hour away.
